Santiago Iñiguez, President of IE University, will participate in the next edition of the Going Global Conference set to take place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on March 4 – 6, 2013. Iñiguez will take part in the panel on 21st century nations: no place for the humanities?during which distinguished experts will discuss the crucial role of the humanities in the education of future generations at a time when its influence is being brought into question more than ever before.

The Rakatá company’s production of William Shakespeare’sHenry VIII will begin its tour of Spanish cities in Segovia on February 1, in IE University’s aula magna, housed in the former church of the Santa Cruz la Real Convent. The Convent was declared a national heritage site in 1931 and is one of Segovia’s most spectacular buildings, rebuilt by the Catholic Kings at the end of the fifteenth century. The play is directed by Ernesto Arias and has been nominated for fourteen Max Awards. Tickets are available at Segovia’s Visitors Reception Center.

Last Friday, Spain’s IE School of Architecture and Design organized a workshop focused on What’s Next in Workspaces? Designing with Change. Held at the Royal Institute of British Architects in London, the event moderated by Martha Thorne, Associte Dean for External Relations at IE School of Architecture & Design and Executive Director of the Pritzker Prize, brought together leading experts from both sides of the Atlantic.
