Biotechnology Management

As a manager of biotechnology companies you will be specialized in the application of scientific techniques for the production of industry and medical products such as food, antibiotics, hormones and vaccines. In this track you will develop the ability to lead, coordinate and manage teams in the context of today´s fast growing biotechnology sector. Graduates can then go on to study an advanced degree such as the Master in Biotechnology Management of IE Business School.


Environmental Management

As an Environmental Manager you will be working for sustainable development and the protection of the environment through the reduction, prevention and minimizing of the negative impacts of human activity on the planet (pollution, over-exploitation of natural resources). You will help industries and businesses to develop and offer environmentally friendly products and services. Furthermore, you will be able to design and implement environmental strategies and management systems to recover and protect threatened species, habitats and ecosystems.


Biology + Business

Would you like to be an expert in the field of Biology with in-depth knowledge and expertise in Business? You will gain experience in managing organizations, teams and projects, and develop your leadership and analytical skills. Development Studies

As a specialist in Development Studies you will contribute to sustainable economic growth, human well-being and poverty reduction. You will be able to work as an analyst, strategic planner or advisor for several types of businesses or governments in order to achieve those objectives. Your track in Development Studies could take you to many different professions from the private sector to public international agencies and organizations.


Environmental Audit and Consulting

As an environmental consultant, you will be able to give expert advice and information to individuals and entities in the environmental and sustainable development fields. You could be self-employed or join a consultancy firm specializing in providing company management. Your aim will be improving your clients’ efficiency by making assessments on a variety of environmental issues. Related topics include: legislation, audit, conservation, environmental impact assessment, development of environmental policy and environmental management systems. By the end of this track you will have gained the necessary organizational and analytical skills to develop a successful career within the environmental consultancy world.


Science Reporting

Would you like to be an expert in the field of Biology with in-depth knowledge and expertise in Science Communication? As a scientific communicator, you will be able to work hand in hand with scientists popularizing exciting issues related to biotechnology, nature, sustainability or biomedicine. In addition, you will gain the necessary communication and creative skills to make science documentaries or work for TV and radio programs contributing to the public’s understanding of science.
