Dr. Antonio Gascó completed his Ph.D. and M.Sc. on Forestry Engineering at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. His Ph.D dissertation served to begin his expertise in Plant Physiology and Ecophysiology in general, and in Plant Hydraulics and Plant Drought Resistance in particular; which was upgraded through postdoctoral stages at the Department of Life Science of the University of Trieste, and the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology of UCLA. His teaching experience, developed in parallel to his main research activity in the institutions he has worked for, is now added to IE University’s courses on Animal and Plant Physiology and Comparative Physiology. His research activity accounts for more than 20 publications and many communications to scientific symposia. Dr. Antonio Gascó belongs to the International Scientific Board of the journal “Forest Systems”, and he collaborates with EU COST Programme as a member of the Domain Committee of “Forests, their Products and Services”.
