An expert in strategic alliances and legal negotiations, María del Pilar Galeote combines extensive experience in both teaching and business. She is a member of the Legal Counsel Department at Telefónica Intercontinental where she worked in UMTS tenders. She later worked at Clifford Chance, where she specialized in aspects related with negotiations processes in mergers and acquisitions. She has written her doctoral thesis about the vote agreements in corporate companies. Since 1999, she has taught negotiation in different masters, development and executive education programmes at Instituto de Empresa, where she is also Associate Director of the Centre for Negotiation. María del Pilar Galeote also co-authored the book Negociar para CON-vencer. She is also author of the chapter “La Mediación” in the book Sistemas para la solución extrajurisdiccional de conflictos. Professor Galeote holds a J.D. in Corporate Law and has published her doctoral thesis Sindicatos de voto. El control en una sociedad conjuntaTirant lo Blanch, Valencia, 2008.
