Emma Hooper

Dr. Hooper has a PhD from the London School of Economics (LSE), a B.A. (Hons) in Near & Middle Eastern History from the School of Oriental and African Studies, London University. She has worked in over 30 countries worldwide and has lived in 7. She designed and directed a policy research project on Afghanistan & Pakistan (2011-16) for the Barcelona Center for International Affairs (CIDOB). An independent consultant to the World Bank, the UN system, the Asian Development Bank and bilateral aid agencies throughout her career,  she taught a postgraduate in social planning in developing countries at the LSE (1977-82); business strategy in EADA, Barcelona (2008-2011); and has taught international relations courses at IE since 2014.
