José María García

José María García is an Adjunct Professor at IE since 2002, with extensive experience in  leadership positions in the fields of innovation, technology and circular economy. 

A pioneering champion of the digital revolution, he stepped up as an early leader since the Internet's early years while working at McKinsey and Company. He was also co-founder of the internet incubator Netjuice and led Telecinco new media initiatives. Since 2006 he held international leadership positions at Google for more than 10 years, both at EMEA and globally. He has also contributed to impact initiatives such as Ashoka, the leading social entrepreneurship global network.

Since 2017 he has shifted his focus to driving initiatives to tackle climate change and build a sustainable future for all, leveraging his expertise in technology, consumer and innovation. First launching Gratix, a C2C circular economy platform that tried to change our consumption habits powering a free sharing movement. Then as an advisor and investor to climatetech companies and venture funds. He is also an author and keynote speaker on how to positively shape our future leveraging technology, nature and our power as consumers, citizens and leaders.
