Laura Juanes Micas

Laura Juanes Micas is an Adjunct Professor at IE Law School, where she contributes to executive education programs focused on cybersecurity, digital, and regulatory governance. She is a global governance, regulatory, and policy leader with more than two decades of experience helping organizations navigate complex compliance environments and align legal, operational, and ethical standards in the digital economy.

Laura is the Founder of Global Privacy & Policy Consulting, a boutique advisory firm that supports companies in building resilient governance frameworks and regulatory strategies that enable innovation while managing legal and reputational risk.

Previously, she held senior leadership roles at Meta, Yahoo!, Constella Intelligence, and Restaurant Brands International (RBI), where she built and led global programs in privacy, compliance, digital governance, and human rights. Her work has focused on translating evolving regulatory requirements across areas such as data protection, AI governance, and cybersecurity into practical frameworks for implementation. She has extensive experience in regulatory outreach and engagement, leading dialogue with policymakers and supervisory authorities worldwide, and in crisis management, helping organizations respond effectively to regulatory incidents and emerging risks.

She currently serves on the Board of Directors of CaixaBank Payments & Consumer, on the Advisory Council of the Ethical AI Governance Group (EAIGG), and is a Fellow of the Centre for Information Policy Leadership (CIPL). Recognized among the Top 100 Women in the Legal Sector by TodoJuristas.com, Laura has contributed to global discussions on technology regulation and responsible innovation at forums including the G20, the World Economic Forum, the Organization of American States, and the Global Privacy Assembly.
