Mar Hurtado de Mendoza

Mar is an Adjunct Professor at IE University and a Faculty and Board member of the IE Center for Health & Well-being. She holds a Dual Bachelor’s Degree in Law and Political Science from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Spain), a Master in International Relations from the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs (Ottawa, Canada), an International MBA from IE Business School (Madrid, Spain) and an Executive Master in Positive Leadership and Strategy from IE School of Human Sciences and Technology (Madrid, Spain).

Mar has extensive experience in the areas of strategy and business development and has held various positions across several industries and sectors. She began her career in international trade policy to later create her own imports company. Mar joined IE in January 2012 and since then she has held several positions, including IE’s Global Head of International Development, leading the institution’s recruiting and business development activities through IE’s 30 representative offices around the world.

Today, Mar is IE’s Vicepresident for Global Recruitment and Marketing, responsible for the institution’s marketing and commercial strategy and execution. In addition, she is Chair of IE Women’s Unit, and a member of both IE’s Board of Directors and Ethics and Inclusion Committee.
