IE Business School opens its doors, offering a number of MBA programs in Madrid’s business district. Alongside this, the Master of Laws LL.M. and the Master in Legal Consultancy are launched, which pave the way for IE Law School a few years later.
IE creates new departments, such as the Alumni Association and the Centre for Entrepreneurship, cementing IE as a school with an innovative entrepreneurial vision. This decade also sees the creation of the IE International Advisory Board, the IE Foundation and the US based IE Fund, which promotes research and awards well-deserving students with financial scholarships. Finally, the Business Leadership Forum is born to bring together the knowledge and different perspectives of important figures in the political, economic and business world.
IE expands its international presence by opening development offices worldwide. Today IE has +29 international offices in different countries.
IE’s first Blended programs are launched, broadening the international reach of this institution of higher education and placing it at the forefront of e-learning in Europe. IE joins the Sumaq Alliance, which brings together leading Latin American schools. Building on this spirit of joint venture, IE collaborates with other institutions, such as Brown University in the United States to create the IE Brown Executive MBA program.
IE currently enjoys agreements and collaborations with around 100 prestigious schools in Europe, the United States, Latin America, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
IE University begins its first undergraduate programs in 2006, a critical milestone for the institution. Students come from all around the world to study practical and innovative degrees. Based on IE’s world-renowned entrepreneurial model, these programs shape the new generation of professionals with continual guidance from the institution’s unique, highly experienced faculty.
