Fintech Startup Revlo Wins IE University’s Venture Day Madrid 2026
The event brought together the 12 finalist startups from IE University’s Venture Lab, who pitched their ventures to a panel of international investors and entrepreneurship ecosystem experts.
Revlo, a fintech startup providing digital financial services to Mexican e-commerce businesses that are underserved by traditional banking, has been named the winner of IE University’s Venture Day Madrid 2026. The competition brings together entrepreneurial students and alumni from IE University to present their ventures and compete for top recognition. Through a data-driven model connected directly to sales on platforms such as Amazon or Shopify, Revlo provides tailored capital advances with flexible repayment terms, without collateral, fixed installments, or hidden fees. The entrepreneurs behind Revlo—Carlos Duarte, José Pablo del Río, Francisco Ucero Senties, Francisco Ariztia, and Lucas Tettamanti—are students in IE Business School’s International MBA program.
IE University’s Venture Day, which each year features students and alumni from the academic institution’s Bachelor’s and Master’s programs, has become one of Europe’s most influential Demo Days. In this edition, more than 700 students from around the world, organized into 150 teams, have spent the past months developing their business ideas through Venture Lab, IE University’s startup accelerator. The 12 finalist startups pitched their business projects to a panel of international investors and leading experts from the global entrepreneurial ecosystem.
This academic year, IE University’s Venture Lab introduced dedicated training on AI applied to the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Students have incorporated AI into the design and launch of their startups, using specialized tools to accelerate key phases such as research, validation, and prototyping. IE’s Venture Lab aims to foster an entrepreneurial mindset among IE University students and alumni, while strengthening their professional profile in a world being transformed by technology. Along the way, participants develop core capabilities including strategic vision, innovation, negotiation, and leadership in a global context.
The jury at the IE Venture Day Madrid 2026 final, made up of experts from organizations including Accenture, Next Tier Ventures, ATIUD Capital, Encomenda, TheVentureCity, and VIAVI Solutions, highlighted the overall quality of the finalist projects, the strength of the analyses presented, and their investment potential.
"Venture Day reflects many of the qualities that position our institution among the world’s leading universities in innovation and entrepreneurship. Each year, we work with more than 1,000 Bachelor’s and Master’s students who accelerate their ventures in our Venture Lab. Many of these ideas go on to become successful startups. Beyond that success, we have an impact on every participant: we develop their entrepreneurial mindset and prepare them to navigate the uncertainty of the world we live in," said Paris de l’Etraz, Managing Director of IE University’s Venture Lab.
