IE University celebrates Global Village 2026: a unique ecosystem bringing together students, professors and researchers from 160 countries
Global Village 2026 took part in the Universities Week in Segovia with a rock workshop open to young students from the city.
IE University has celebrated Global Village 2026 this week at the institution's historic campus in Segovia. The tenth edition of Global Village highlights a unique academic ecosystem made up of students, professors and researchers from 160 countries.
The event, led by the Student Clubs and IE University's Campus Life team, brought together 700 students from all over the world who shared and celebrated their customs through cultural initiatives, musical performances, dance, folklore and gastronomy from their countries.
As Dominika Biegun, Junior Manager of IE Campus Life, explains: "Every year Global Village grows and changes, hand in hand with the students. For example, this year we have had delegations of students from China, Japan and Tajikistan, among many other countries, who have brought us closer to their traditions, and have filled the campus with life.”
Global Village 2026 also took part participated this year in the 'Universities Week' that is being held these days in Segovia. The IE University campus hosted a rock workshop open to all students in the city, organized in collaboration with the UNESCO World Heritage city’s Department of Education, Youth and Urban Agenda.
