Rural Alchemy works with the natural areas surrounding Docenario, Extremadura to develop holistic spaces of artificial nature that features third-nature design and encourages hyper-productivity.
The project aims to tackle the challenges of depopulation—an important issue facing rural Spain—by attracting and retaining talent through providing jobs that are accessible to people with diverse levels of education, while generating a new model for the local economy.
To do so, Rural Alchemy implements tech-social methods to facilitate human and artificial production within the existing landscape. Rural Alchemy uses an ecological approach when designing its products. This project brings new sustainable development technologies to Extremadura.
