Andrea Martin is the leader of both the IBM Watson Center in Munich and the EMEA Client Centers. She’s responsible for the centers’ scope, engagement model and market relevance. Before taking on this role, she was chief technology officer (CTO) for IBM Germany, Austria and Switzerland, as well as president of the IBM Academy of Technology—a community made up of hundreds of the brightest technical leaders within IBM.

In her role, Andrea Martin makes the most of her experience and global network, which are the result of more than 25 years in the international services business. She provides valuable input for her activities as an expert on the Free State of Bavaria’s AI Advisory Board as well as in the German Parliament’s Commission for AI (2018-2020).

Andrea Martin started her career at IBM in 1992 after earning a master’s degree (diploma) in applied mathematics from the University in Karlsruhe in Germany.
