Salvador Carmona, Rector of IE University, has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate by Aalto University, one of the most important academic institutions in Finland, internationally recognized for its innovative academic programs.

This distinction recognizes the academic and professional achievements of Salvador Carmona, as well as his research work in accounting and management control, along with his responsibilities as Editor of the European Accounting Review and President of the European Accounting Association. Aalto University also recognizes the work of IE University’s Rector in promoting the mobility of academics in these areas.

IE Business School among Top Ten Business Schools Worldwide in Annual Business Masters Rankings from QS

IE University's International MBA, Master in Management, and Master in Finance among the best worldwide programs.

IE Business School’s flagship International MBA program holds the 7th position globally and 3rd in Europe, in the latest edition of the QS World University Rankings: Global Full-Time MBA 2022, which ranks the world’s premier full time business programs for aspiring future business leaders. The International MBA, which is a customizable and fully immersive one-year program with a student body representing more than 70 nationalities, has been recognized by QS in the category of Entrepreneurship and Alumni Outcomes, ranking 3rd worldwide in the category and 1st in Europe. In addition to the ranking of the IE International MBA, QS also includes a series of specialized rankings which place IE’s Master in Management program 5th worldwide and the Master in Finance 11th worldwide.

This academic year, IE Business School welcomes Lee Newman as dean, who recently detailed his plans for the school in a Poets & Quants interview, including an innovative new approach to education that involves a highly curated and career-focused educational experience for students. Newman joined the faculty of IE University in 2009 and in the following year became the founding Dean of the school known currently as the IE School of Human Sciences & Technology (HST). He has an interdisciplinary PhD from the University of Michigan in Psychology and Computer Science, an MBA and Master in Technology & Policy from MIT, and a Bachelor in Engineering from Brown University.

IE Foundation announces the winners of the Prizes in the Humanities 2021

IE Foundation has announced the winners of the Prizes in the Humanities 2021 in the categories of poetry, short stories and essays in Spanish and English, video, photography, and photographic series. The jury for this sixth edition of the awards included personalities of the stature of photographer Jean-Marc Manson and writers Javier Moro and Kit Fan.

The IE Foundation Prizes in the Humanities reflect the humanistic vision of the IE University community, including students, graduates, faculty, staff, and management. With the support of the Arts & Humanities Division, which specializes in research and teaching in the humanities, IE Foundation organizes these awards to promote the humanities worldview, which is central to the institution’s identity.
