Altagracia Evangelista Cuevas-Arthur

Altagracia E. Cuevas-Arthur accumulates 16+ years of work experience in academia, consulting and private sectors. She is currently Senior Consultant on investment climate and trade law and policy at the World Bank Group (WBG), where she has worked in projects in the Latin American and African regions. Likewise, Altagracia is Adjunct Professor at IE University (International Economic Law and Policy) and Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles (IEB) on EU Institutions, both in Madrid, and has lectured at the University of Barcelona and in Tver, Russia. Formerly, she worked as Manager of Trade Consulting at International Economics Consulting (IEC), a Mauritius-based boutique consultancy firm. 

Altagracia obtained two master's degrees at the University of Barcelona on International Economic Law (IELPO) and on International Law, respectively. She accumulates 13+ years of experience organizing trainings on international law, competition and investment law and policy, as well as World Trade Organization law. She has collaborated as Academic Advisor at the University of Barcelona, IE University (SPEGA School, formerly the GPA School) and the European Organization for Public Law (EPLO, based in Athens, Greece). Since 2020, she has assisted hundreds of IE University’s master’s students in securing placements in international organizations, NGOs, governments, consultancy firms and key companies in the social impact spectrum, leveraging her vast experience in the field.
