Fernando has 25+ years of experience in consulting, management and academics in areas such as innovation, strategy formulation and implementation, project management, digital transformation, M&A, risk management, and CX & marketing working for government and private companies and organizations in all kinds of industries around the world.

Currently, he is a Professor at IE University’s Business and Human Sciences and Technology Schools where he is teaching Microeconomics, Economic and Financial Communication, Behavior Management and Gamification and Quality Management. He combines his teaching activities with research and consulting as an associate at Piedmont-Co and as an independent consultant.

Fernando holds a PhD in Business Administration from Universidad Pontificia, an MS in Hotel and Tourism Management, an ABD in Literature (University of Massachusetts), an MBA (IE Business School), a Degree in International Business (London Business School) an MA (University of Georgia) and a Licenciatura in Business and Economics (Universidad de Santiago). As a researcher, he has published a number of articles and a book.
