Jack Sadek

Jack Sadek is an Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship at IE University. His research examines the emergence of new market categories, with a particular focus on the discursive and institutional processes through which categories are shaped, contested, and legitimized. He is also interested in entrepreneurial identity construction, exploring how entrepreneurs, particularly those operating in contexts of poverty, construct fulfilling identities by drawing on cultural and community-based resources. Jack has presented his research at several leading conferences, including the Babson College Entrepreneurship Research Conference, where his work was recognized as one of the top 40 papers, and the Academy of Management Annual Meeting, where he received the 2023 Best Paper Award in the Organization and Management Theory Division.
