Johanna Glauber

Johanna Glauber is an Assistant Professor of Strategy at IE University. Professor Glauber holds a PhD in Management from Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich and an MSc and BSc in Mechanical Engineering and Management.

Professor Glauber’s research lies at the intersection of strategy and innovation, with an emphasis on how firms’ organization design and structure can influence performance outcomes. Her work, in particular, examines firms’ organization of scope and hierarchy and their consequences.

Professor Glauber’s research is curious about contexts and performance outcomes of societal impact and approaches performance broadly, including firms’ reliability, incremental improvement, and non-economic performance outcomes, such as environmental performance.

At IE Business School, Professor Glauber teaches Strategic Management. Previously, she has been teaching at Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich and EM Lyon, and her teaching expertise covers a broad variety of strategy topics, such as managerial economics, innovation, competitive strategy, and sustainability strategy.
