Ignacio combines his professional work at Vodafone with academic teaching. His greatest asset is his experience teaching nationally and internationally in the areas of Category Management, Trade Marketing and Channel Development.

His know-how comes from having worked on three multinational products and services in four countries where he could see and learn different strategies, approaches and marketing plans in different groups and sectors.

His areas of interest include International Marketing, Management Development and Customer Loyalty and everything related to Distribution Strategies.

Professor Gafo is the current Associate Dean of Global & Executive MBA Programs at IE Business School. Prior to joining IE full time, he has held managerial positions for more than 15 years in multinationals like Vodafone, Mars and Canon. His main asset for teaching is his experience in national and international environments in Marketing Strategy and Change Management. During his career he has been able to design and apply different strategies, policies and marketing plans in several industries and segments. His main areas of interest include Innovation, Customer Strategy and Change Management.

Professor Gafo was ranked by the Economist as one of the top 100 professors for Business in the world and lectures on Marketing and Sales and Change Management for corporate customers, international institutions and universities all around the world.
