Lorena Delgado Piña

Lorena Delgado Piña is a Senior Lab Technician and Manager of the Fab Lab IE University of the IE School of Architecture and Design at the IE Tower in Madrid since 2021 and Adjunct Professor at the IE University since 2023. She specialized in architecture, digital fabrication, and wearable technology. She is an architect from the School of Architecture of Universidad de Alcalá and a Fashion Tech Designer, specialized in biomaterials fabrication, by Istituto Europeo di Design Madrid (IED Madrid). Finished their studies, she has taught several workshops and masterclasses related to biomaterials and digital fabrication in Schools of Design and Architecture such as Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Universitat Politècnica de València and Istituto Europeo di Design among others and cultural centers such as Medialab Matadero. At the same time, prior to joining IE A&D., as a multidisciplinary architect and designer, she worked in various studios specializing in Architecture and Fashion Tech Design, including Enguita and Lasso de la Vega Arquitectura and Buj Studio, among others, and she has collaborated in the development of wearable prototypes with the research group MagicOut Fit at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. In addition, she is a graduate of the Fab Academy Diploma 2021, taught by the Fab Foundation with the support of The Center for Bits and Atoms of Massachusetts Institute Technology (MIT). This certificate validates your skills at the principles on digital fabrication, electronics; and it recognizes you as an official Fab Lab professional of the Fab Lab global network.
