Marco de Benito

Marco de Benito is an Associate Professor and holds the Jean Monnet Chair in European Civil Procedure. He teaches comparative civil procedure and international arbitration. Through the Jean Monnet Module in European Private Law, he also promotes reflection and discussion on private law and legal history. 

Professor de Benito is the author of numerous publications, including the monographs El Convenio Arbitral and Justicia o Burocracia. He co-authored The History of Law in Europe and directed and edited Colloquies on European Civil Procedure.

He is also a member of the International Association of Procedural Law, the ICC Institute of World Business Law, and the Procedural Law Board of the Spanish Royal Academy of Jurisprudence and Legislation.

He is often appointed as an arbitrator in international matters.
