Sahand Davani

Sahand Davani is an Assistant Professor of Finance at IE University, Spain. He is expecting his PhD in Management Sciences (Finance) at ESADE Business School and was also a visiting PhD candidate at Humboldt University in Berlin. His academic background spans engineering, project management, and finance, holding an MBA and two degrees in Civil Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in Iran.

Sahand’s research lies at the intersection of corporate finance and financial markets, with a focus on the role of non-financial information in shaping the interaction between the two. He has presented his research at top conferences including the FMA European Conference, EFMA, SESTEF, ISCFS, IFABS, ARCS, and GRASFI.

Before transitioning into academia, Sahand worked as a Project Manager and Investment Analyst. His interdisciplinary background supports his ongoing interest in sustainability-focused research, particularly around Climate Action, Responsible Consumption, and Innovation & Infrastructure. Sahand is also active in teaching and mentoring, having served as a teaching assistant in Sustainable Finance, Financial Markets, Financial Economics, and Investments at ESADE.
