Sebastián Green Martínez

Sebastián Green Martínez is a Managing Associate at Uría Menendez SLP in Madrid, where he has practiced international and investment arbitration since September 2018. His responsibilities include representing investors and States, presenting oral and written submissions before arbitration tribunals, conducting cross-examinations of witnesses and experts, among others. 

Before this, he served as Counsel at the Directorate of International Affairs and Disputes of Argentina's Treasury Attorney’s Office from 2013 to 2017, participating in multiple ICSID and UNCITRAL investment arbitration cases. He has also served as an assistant to the Hon. Charles Brower in the context of investment arbitrations.

He joined the Faculty of Law at Universidad Francisco Marroquín as an Associate Professor in August 2024 and also coached the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court team at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and at Universidad de Buenos Aires. He was a faculty member teaching international law at the University of Buenos Aires between 2012 and 2017. His scholarly contributions include co-authoring the forthcoming “Jurisdictional Objections in ICSID Arbitration” (Edward Elgar, 2026), along with numerous peer-reviewed articles and presentations delivered at several fora. He is also a member of pools of arbitrators in various jurisdictions.
