Raphaël Wat

Raphaël was drawn to IE University’s unique diversity and entrepreneurial spirit. What’s more, he was enthusiastic about the prospect of living and studying in vibrant Madrid. His experience at IE University has been extremely enriching, and he was able to take part in a range of exciting opportunities.

The Bachelor in Business Administration was the perfect fit for Raphaël as it allowed him to explore a broad range of subjects to help him decide on his future career path. His time at IE University so far has pushed Raphaël to build his professional profile by taking part in a number of clubs and completing internships.

During his second year, Raphaël acted as ambassador of the IE Finance & Capital Markets Club. While performing this role, he contributed to the events organized by the club. To develop his finance experience, Raphaël also took part in a trading competition organized by ESADE, as well as IE University’s M&A contest.

Reflecting on his time at IE University, Raphaël believes he has developed the necessary tools and expertise to apply to Spring Week at prestigious investment banks. His academic advisors have taught him a lot about writing a cover letter and how to best present his resume. All of his professors have been great advisors, offering invaluable support and tips for his future career.

After graduating, Raphaël hopes to continue his studies with a master’s degree in finance. He aspires to work for a large financial institution in a dynamic field, and has already completed two internships in finance: one at a hedge fund, and another at an institution that focuses on M&A.
