Romane Prisant

About me

I’m a second-year Dual Degree in Business Administration & Business Analytics student. I lived my whole life in France with my parents and sister in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Paris, but moved to Spain to start at IE University, pursuing my life-long goal: studying abroad. I also love football, reading, drawing, painting and surfing in the summer.

Exploring what life at IE University has to offer

Romane came to IE University because Spain has always had a special place in her heart—coming to Spain to study was a natural next step.

She found IE University looking for a unique program that would link together business and sciences, not knowing exactly what she wanted to do in the future. That’s where the Dual Degree in Business Administration + Data & Business Analytics came in. So far, she’s made amazing friends from all over the world, enjoys her classes and hasn’t looked back since.

Last year, Romane got involved in the Marketing & Consumer Insights Lab, learning a lot about teamwork, real-life company systems and project constructions. What made her experience even better was that the team was composed of other students; like-minded individuals who became her friends. She has also become involved in several of the workshops, activities, seminars and labs which are on offer at IE University to all students to enrich their professional and personal experiences.

Outside of her classes, Romane started playing football last year with the IE Football Club, and this year has taken on the role of a mentor within the Mentor Program. She’s always loved being there to help other people, and this program gave her the chance to guide new students around the beginning of their university journey—something that Romane was also embarking on independently only a year before.

Romane enjoys the freedom her dual degree program offers her. Without a set career in mind, she takes advantage of exploring many different interests to find which path she’ll take. She enjoys learning languages and studying anything that catches her interest: from biology, mathematics and music to writing, cooking and making handmade jewelry.

Romane is a firm believer in creating her own path to her future, rather than following one that has already been built for someone else. Exploring many interests is an essential part of finding her own path to whatever her future may look like. With her life philosophy of carpe diem (“seize the day”) in mind, the past few years have made her realize that sharing life with people is the most important gift we’re given every day.
