A Korean delegation visited IE University’s Campus in Segovia
A Korean delegation from the district of Gangdong-Gu, lead by its Mayor Hae Sik Lee visited IE University’s Campus in Segovia in order to safisty their curiosity for the university’s new educational project.
Gangdon-Gu is a district with a population of 492.000 located at the south of Seoul, is twined with Segovia a city in the center of Spain, near Madrid, which has been declared World Heritage by the UNESCO.
The Korean delegation visited the modern facilities at IE University’s campus. This educational gives service to 1.100 students from 57 nationalities offering them programs with an international projection, a global focus and a string humanist character. Francisco Mata, Dean for Undergraduate Studies, and Professor Jikyung Kim ,from the School of Business Administration welcomed this delegation.
The Korean representatives met students from different degrees and heard about their experiences. They paid special attention to Gyuseok Lee, a Business Administration student in this university who came from Korea. In a tour around the campus they examined their classrooms, workshops, labs, radio and TV studios, conference rooms and common rooms where new technologies are integrated into a 13th century monumental building complex.
Gyuseok stated that for him to live in a different culture such as that of Spain has been a very interesting experience; he encourages Korean students to come to Spain and at the same time Spanish students to visit Korea. He concluded hoping that the relationship between Korea and Spain, especially Segovia keep growing.
IE University offer official UE Bachelor and Postgraduate grades in English and Spanish in Busness Administration, Law, Communication, Psychology, Architecture, Biology, Art History, Turism and Building Engennering. This University has a marked international orientation.
