IE Foundation Prizes in the Humanities 2023
With a 40% increase in submissions, the eighth edition of the awards includes the new category of digital art.

IE University has announced the winners of the 2023 IE Foundation Prizes in the Humanities in the poetry, short story and essay in English and Spanish, along with video and photography, and with the new category of digital art.

This year, the eighth, has seen a 40% increase in submissions on last year, reflecting the interest of IE’s students, alumni, faculty and staff in the humanities. Among the members of this year’s jury were international figures such as writer Namita Ghokale and Javier Moro, as well as digital artists Enrique Agudo and Daniel Canogar.

"One more year, we pause to celebrate the human experience.  The Prizes in the Humanities are a meaningful exercise that allow us to unleash our creativity and better understand who we are as a group of individuals that live and learn together. They help us better understand what it means to live and navigate the world with empathy and compassion", says Catalina Tejero, Vice Dean of IE University’s Arts & Humanities Division.

The prize-giving ceremony will be held on September 26 at IE Tower, IE University’s sustainable technology campus in Madrid.
