3,500 students received a scholarship this year, and nearly 8,000 have benefited from financial support over the past five years.

IE University and IE Foundation have awarded more than 50 million euros in scholarships this year to attract and develop global talent, reinforcing the institution’s purpose of driving positive change. These scholarship programs, developed in collaboration with companies and institutions around the world, open academic opportunities to outstanding students with a global mindset and an innovative, ambitious profile, regardless of their financial circumstances. Today, this continued commitment is reflected in the 35 percent of Bachelor and Master students at IE University, hailing from 160 countries, who benefit from scholarship programs every year.

The IE University Socioeconomic Impact Report 2025, conducted by PwC and presented earlier this year, highlights the scale and reach of these initiatives. According to the report, 3,500 students received a scholarship this year, and nearly 8,000 have benefited from financial support over the past five years. In line with this effort, IE Foundation now has more than 2,300 Fellows, selected for their academic performance, professional potential and active contribution to society.

Gonzalo Garland, Vice President of IE Foundation, notes, "At IE Foundation, we work to strengthen scholarship programs around the world. Our goal is to identify young people with exceptional talent, with stories of effort and global ambition, and to promote socio-economic diversity on campus. We aim to attract brilliant profiles and ensure they can access our programs regardless of their financial situation. We are grateful for the support of international institutions and corporations which helps us open new pathways for talented students, accelerate their careers and reinforce their social impact."

Global Talent

Among the scholarship programs are the Kistefos Young Talented Leaders Scholarship Program for high-potential candidates in Norway and Africa; Valentín Díez Morodo Scholarship Fund for Excellence for young Mexican talent, and Laidlaw Scholars Leadership and Research Program for women pursuing MBA or Executive MBA programs.

These scholarship programs also include the Fulbright Scholarship Program for students from the US; IE University–China Scholarship Council Scholarship Program for Chinese students; IE University–Queen Sofía Spanish Institute Scholarship Program for students focused on the Humanities, and Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation Scholarships for Sustainability for students advancing environmental and social impact, among others.

With the same goal, IE Foundation also awards scholarships to students at IE New York College, a US college officially accredited in the State of New York, located in the heart of SoHo. This scholarship program enables exceptional students from around the world to pursue specialized Master programs in New York, giving them the opportunity to work in the US for up to three years after graduation.
