IE University’s annual strategy conference explored how emerging technologies are redefining competitive advantages, governance, and corporate decision-making.

Madrid, May 29, 2026 – IE University held IEStrat 2026, its annual international strategy conference, a leading forum for advanced research on the impact of artificial intelligence on organizations. The conference brought together leading international scholars from academic institutions worldwide to explore how AI is reshaping strategic decision-making, innovation, organizational design, and competitive dynamics. 

Discussions at IEStrat 2026 underscored that AI is a structural force reshaping how organizations compete and create value. A central takeaway from the academic conference was the need for responsible strategic integration of AI, combining technological capabilities with governance, human expertise, and organizational design.

"With IEStrat 2026, we wanted to create an annual forum for frontier research in strategy. These days showed that AI is changing how organizations explore, predict, govern, and make decisions," said Danilo Messinese, Assistant Professor of Strategy at IE University.

IEStrat 2027 

The workshop opened new avenues for research and collaboration, reinforcing IE University’s role as a hub for global academic dialogue on the future of strategy. IE University confirmed that the next edition of IEStrat will take place in Spring 2027.
