More than 300 HR managers met in a forum that promotes interagency cooperation and innovation in talent policies.
IE University has held the Career Development Roundtable (CDR) 2025 at its IE Tower headquarters in Madrid, the main global meeting dedicated to talent management in the multilateral system. The CDR was jointly organized by IE University, the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, and the International Organization for Migration (IOM). The inauguration was attended by Lucía García Rico, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Director General of the United Nations, International Organizations and Human Rights of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, and Michael Emery, Director of Human Resources of the IOM.
For two days, the participants discussed digital transformation in talent management, professional mobility, artificial intelligence applied to Human Resources, leadership, organizational well-being and strategies to attract young talent. Speakers included representatives of the United Nations, the European Commission, UNICEF, the World Health Organization, the Inter-American Development Bank and other multilateral institutions, along with academic and private sector experts.
Intergovernmental Organizations Day 2025
In parallel, IE University has celebrated Intergovernmental Organizations Day (IGO Day) 2025. This annual meeting was attended by international organizations such as the United Nations, the World Bank, NATO, OECD, UNICEF, IOM and the Inter-American Development Bank, among others, which presented their expansion and recruitment strategies to Bachelor's and Master's students from 160 countries.
"This meeting has allowed us to learn first-hand about the growth and talent development objectives of the main multilateral organizations. There is a growing demand for profiles in the areas of public policy, international development, technological innovation, sustainability and economics, along with transversal skills essential to function in global and complex environments," said Zayne Imam, Head of Talent & Careers at IE University.
The joint celebration of the Career Development Roundtable and Intergovernmental Organizations Day 2025 consolidate IE University's position as a talent development hub for the multilateral system. With this objective, IE School of Politics, Economics and Global Affairs offers specialized programs such as the Bachelor in International Relations, Bachelor in Political Science, Master in International Relations, Master in International Development or the new Master in Public Policy, with the aim of training leaders capable of facing strategic challenges on a global stage.
