IE University celebrates Global Village Madrid 2025

A lively outdoor festival with colorful banners and people enjoying the event.

Throughout the day, students, teachers and staff from all over the world have been able to share their traditions, music and dance, clothing and gastronomy as part of a wide-ranging celebration of multiculturalism.

IE University students, professors and staff members from 160 countries celebrated Global Village Madrid 2025 this week. The initiative, organized by IE Net Impact Club with the support of IE Campus Life and IE Foundation, is now a tradition, with participants sharing their traditions, music and dance, clothing and gastronomy and many other aspects of their countries of origin in a festival of multiculturalism on a unique campus.

The Paper Pavilion, located on the IE University campus in Madrid’s Salamanca district, has been the venue for this year’s Global Village. As with the event at the university’s historic Segovia campus a few weeks ago, it has featured exhibitions of traditional dance, musical concerts, tastings of typical dishes and other cultural and artistic expressions from all over the world.

"Global Village is more than just a celebration—it's a reminder of what makes our IE community extraordinary. When people from every corner of the world come together to share food, culture, and stories, we build more than memories—we build understanding.", said Elisa Hicks, Executive Director of Campus Life at IE University.
