IE University rewards academic excellence in the 2023 IE Faculty Awards
IE University's professors teach to over 9,000 students from 140 countries on IE. University's undergraduate, graduate and executive education programs, and publish their research in prestigious international journals.

IE University has held its 2023 Faculty Awards, the official event that recognizes the academic excellence and research work of the institution's professors. This year, IE University faculty, which comes from 55 different countries, packed the auditorium of IE Tower, IE University's new headquarters in Madrid. The university's professors teach to over 9,000 students from 140 countries on IE University’s Bachelor, Master and Executive Education programs at IE Business School, IE School of Science and Technology, IE Law School, IE School of Global and Public Affairs, IE School of Architecture and Design and the recently created IE School of Humanities.

“This year, in line with our commitment to innovation and the humanities, we wanted to pay tribute to teaching and research excellence through a contemporary audiovisual exhibition that encourages us to reflect on innovation and creativity, challenging our perceptions and stimulating our curiosity,” explained Isabel Sánchez, Vice Rector of IE University, who also recalled that over the years

This year, IE University has welcomed 23 new full-time professors and researchers with a strong international profile to the organization's faculty. They include experts from institutions such as Harvard University, MIT, the University of Pennsylvania and the London School of Economics. "IE University's faculty and researchers are our number one asset given their outstanding academic profile, their innovative mindset, their commitment to teaching and their ongoing contribution to society. They work constantly to innovate in the classroom, to inspire our students and to boost their professional growth. They develop new theories in their areas of expertise, publish in leading international journals, promote debate and provide fresh solutions to the challenges we face in society," said Salvador Carmona, Rector of IE University, at the ceremony to welcome the new faculty to the organization.
