IE University offers Orientation Week for the students from the 15th to the 17th of September intended for all our new comers that will begin their higher studies at the Segovia or Madrid center. During those dates, freshers’ international students will receive talks/lectures and will get a chance to form part of all the programs and events that will encourage them to socialize and meet other fellow students.

Today, Monday, the IE University Rector Salvador Carmona, the student dean of the bachelor’s degrees Antonio de Castro, Vice rectors and other directors amongst other university representatives presented the university premises to the students and informed them regarding the difficulties that they might face during this first week with the center, the teachers or with other students. In the evening, IE University has managed to arrange a collective gathering for the students called “Happening” that consists of a tour round the heart of Segovia. The students will get a chance to learn about this city and see the “Casa de la Moneda” or the “Jardin de los Poetas” in which they will be able to `participate in different activities with different people.

The following two days, 16th and 17th is dedicated to different undergraduate degrees that IE has to offer. During these days, students from both centers will be informed about how the course is planned, the schedule and the grading system. Moreover, students will be able to have meetings with the tutors, student representatives and get in touch with the other clubs that IE has to offer. They will also be informed about any other cultural or sport activities and events that will be held to make the students experience at our university as diverse and vital as possible.

The Aula Magna at the IE University on the 18th of September will hold the Opening event for the 2014/2015 academic year at 11.30am. Soledad Becerril, the Village Defense will inaugurated this act. This presentation will also have a part dedicated to the Postgraduate programs offers at the IE Business School.
