IE University Women’s Leadership Conference 2025: Women Shaping Their Future

The 9th edition of the conference featured renowned experts such as Irena Šarac, Irene Gonzalvez, and Annabel Keech, among others.

IE University brought together top leaders for the Women’s Leadership Conference 2025, an event organized in collaboration with the IE Women in Business Club, gathering distinguished figures from the business and institutional world to discuss the challenges and opportunities of women’s leadership. Under the theme "Trailblazers: Women Shaping Their Future", the conference was inaugurated by Santiago Íñiguez de Onzoño, Executive President of IE University.

Now in its 9th edition, the conference featured renowned experts such as Irena Šarac, Ambassador of Serbia; Irene Gonzalvez, Product Lead at Spotify; Annabel Keech, Global Business Development Director at Suntory; Vandana Trivedi, Asset Manager at HSBC and Axis Bank; and Maribel Ortiz, Vice President of WA4STEM, among others.

The event included key discussions on leadership, professional growth, and entrepreneurship, featuring panels such as "Opening Doors for Women at Work", moderated by Mar Hurtado de Mendoza, VP of Global Recruitment & Marketing at IE University; "Empowerment and Negotiation", focused on career advancement strategies; "Financial Empowerment Toolkit", moderated by Clémence Mauchamp, Co-founder of LeadHers; and "Venture Network: Bridging the Gap in STEM".

Career Development

To support women in their professional growth, IE University offers specialized mentorship programs. The ‘Women in Tech Mentoring Program’ connects students with professionals in the STEM sector, while the ‘Empowering Women Mentors’ program enables IE University graduates to support the career development of current students.

IE University also grants scholarships and financial aid to attract talent and encourage more women to pursue careers in underrepresented fields such as STEM disciplines and finance. Additionally, the institution promotes initiatives like Chicas Imparables, in collaboration with 50&50 Gender Leadership and CEOE, offering pre-university students workshops on entrepreneurship, innovation, and leadership.
