Unapologetic aims to emphasize the importance of talking about taboo topics in the public eye—empowering people, starting conversations and encouraging others on their journeys towards self-acceptance. Through interviews and research, it hopes to draw attention to different ways of thinking, inspiring people to let go of their pre-existing biases. Unapologetic, in the context of this project, emphasizes the importance of being your true self.
UNAPOLOGETIC
The project was born out of a conversation with my project partner, Val, at the end of our first year at IE University. We felt that our social bubble was lacking several important conversations, and that often the conversations were one-sided, without room to share ideas in a judgement-free space.
We wanted to create a safe space to share these different thoughts, values and ideas in hopes of drawing attention to other ways of thinking. We’re thrilled to see the response to the Unapologetic interviews over the last two years, and hope we can create a similar project in the near future!
