Fernando de la Calzada López de Arriba
I have always seen accounting and finance as far more than technical disciplines. To me, they are powerful tools for understanding how organizations think, evolve and create value. Throughout my professional journey, I have had the opportunity to develop both as a senior executive and as an educator, and that dual perspective continues to shape the way I approach teaching today. In the classroom, I seek to bridge analytical rigor with practical business insight. I want students to understand not only how financial information is built, but also how it informs decisions, reveals priorities and shapes the future of an organization. My goal is to help them engage with these subjects with clarity, curiosity and confidence, while developing the judgment required to navigate increasingly complex business environments.
“Always try to understand the why behind the numbers. Technical knowledge matters, but clear thinking, curiosity and sound judgment are what truly make a difference.”
