Brazilian start up Blox wins the first EdTech Venture Day in São Paulo organized by IE University, Google and FGV-EAESP

The event was atended by various experts including Daniel Cleffi, director of Google for Education Latam.

The first EdTech Venture Day held in São Paulo organized by IE University, Google and FGV-EAESP, has attracted more than 20 experts from the education, entrepreneur and technology sectors to discuss and facilitate the distribution of new methodologies, along with new interaction and technology models to create new opportunities for educational institutions of all kinds.

Of the more than 30 startups that initially took part, five Brazilian initiatives presented their projects in the finals of Edtech entrepreneurship competition. The finalists were Kludo, Educash, Baqwara, Matraquinha and winner Blox, whose founders will receive a trip to Spain as a prize to participate in an acceleration program at IE University and will then present their project to European investors.

Blox is an innovative educational system designed for high schools, colleges and corporate universities. "We want to give education the same agility and the same interesting topics that we see in Silicon Valley, but in a flexible and gamified way," explained Bruno Berchielli of Blox, in his presentation.

“I have no doubt that Sao Paulo has all the necessary ingredients to be considered a great ecosystem worldwide.”
