IE University brings together more than 1,000 graduates from 67 countries at the 2025 Global Alumni Weekend
Every year, IE University's Global Alumni team organizes more than 400 events around the world for its more than 80,000 graduates in 185 countries.
This weekend, IE University brought together more than 1,000 graduates from 67 countries to celebrate its annual alumni meeting, the Global Alumni Weekend 2025. The impact of AI on the business world, the transformation of leadership and the challenges posed by the international geopolitical context have been the focus of the debate in the panels and masterclasses held at IE Tower, IE University's technological and sustainable campus in Madrid.
As part of the Global Alumni Weekend, IE University graduates visited IE University's Robotics & AI Lab, where they were able to meet with students and professors who explained how they apply AI in the world of work. In addition, they have had the opportunity to transform algorithms into technological developments through computer vision. IE University announced an agreement with OpenAI in February to implement AI at scale. IE University's strategic commitment to AI, which began in 2023, now takes on a new dimension with the technological immersion of the institution's students, professors, and staff, who use ChatGPT Edu in a collaborative environment to transform the future of education.
GAW 2025 also featured panels and discussion tables on topics such as Women in Finance, From MBA to C-Suite and People-Led Management, which brought together senior managers and international experts to analyse the main challenges and opportunities in the business world.
Every year, IE University's Global Alumni team organizes more than 400 events around the world for its more than 80,000 graduates in 185 countries. "We have a global alumni platform who are our best ambassadors. We are proud to welcome them once again to the Global Alumni Weekend, our annual meeting, to continue supporting their personal and professional development," said Ines Drieselmann, Vice President of Talent & Global Alumni at IE University.
The Global Alumni Weekend once again featured the EPIC 2025 Awards ceremony this year, which have recognized members of the IE Community in the categories of Business Impact, Creators, Human Success, Women Inspiring women and Young & Ambitious Minds. "The EPIC Awards recognize the talent and transformative vision of our graduates around the world: professionals who lead change, drive impactful initiatives, and are an example and inspiration for new generations," said Sara Lindgren, Director of Global Alumni Relations at IE University.
