IE University celebrates Global Village 2025, bringing together students from 160 countries
Organized by IE Campus Life, the event encouraged everyone to immerse themselves in different cultures.
IE University held Global Village 2025 on Wednesday at its historic Segovia campus. The annual event, now a tradition, brought together students from 160 countries to celebrate diversity and multiculturalism. This year, more than 10,000 students are attending Bachelor's and Master's programs, 90% of them from outside Spain, and 55% are women.
The day saw IE University's Segovia campus transformed into a mosaic of cultures, with students from Africa, the Americas, Asia and Europe setting up stands to represent their countries and regions. Organized by Campus Life in collaboration with IE University´s diversity and inclusion clubs, the event encouraged everyone to immerse themselves in different cultures through live music and dance, as well as crafts and cuisine, further strengthening the bonds of coexistence and integration that characterize IE University.
"Global Village is one of the most meaningful celebrations for our community, reflecting the spirit of diversity that characterizes IE University. Each year, this event allows our students to share their origins, get closer to other cultures, other corners of the world, and learn from each other in an atmosphere of respect and celebration," said Elisa Hicks, Executive Director of Campus Life, adding:
"Diversity is one of the strategic pillars of IE University, and events like today’s reinforce our identity as a global institution."
