IE University celebrates International Day of Happiness with Happiness Week 2023
The IE Center for Health, Welll-being and Happiness hosts a week of opportunities to boost health, connection with others, and promote flourishing.

To coincide with the UN’s International Day of Happiness on March 20, IE University is celebrating Happiness Week 2023, when students, faculty and staff from 140 countries will work on the importance of taking care of their health, eating well, playing sports, looking after their well-being, fostering creativity, enjoying art and music, and sharing moments and hobbies. The Center for Health, Well-being and Happiness celebrates this initiative in collaboration with the IE Foundation and IE Student Experience.

IE Happiness Week will begin at the Segovia campus by welcoming the spring and greeting the sun at the 15th century Santa Cruz la Real to share renewed intentions and energy. On Wednesday, a vertical race will take place at IE Tower, the institution's new technological and sustainable headquarters in Madrid. Participants will compete against the clock and must climb 28 floors to raise funds for the victims of the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. After the sporting event there will be a gastronomic session and an episode of the podcast 'El Libro Rojo' (The Red Book) will be recorded.

On Thursday, Creativity Day will be celebrated with a program of musical concerts, exhibitions, workshops on self-knowledge and a tapas tasting with the participation of restaurants from Segovia, which will take place at the IE Creativity Center.

The celebration will end on Friday with a breathing workshop through the Wim Hof method, a martial arts session and the awards ceremony.

“Happiness Week is an opportunity to cultivate positive emotions, to gain appreciation for a greater sense of contentment in life and to form a part of our collective celebration of our uniqueness and IE Community”.
