Welcome Event

On May 21 IE University organized a welcome event for parents at the Madrid complex. The event was attended by around 150 parents of current students and admitted candidates, along with members of IE’s Admissions team, the directors of different IE University bachelor programs, and professors. The event commenced with 6 workshops representing each degree, and culminating with a welcome speech from Miguel Costa, Director of Admissions at IE University, and Rafael Benjumea, President of IE University’s Board of Governors.

During his address, Costa welcomed the parents to the IE University community, explaining how they may find themselves being locum parents to students from over 80 countries in the world.

Benjumea underscored how IE University is now recognized worldwide, and the excellent academic profile of its students, as well as mentioning the scholarships awarded by AJE, Quiron Group and Fotowatio for students from developing countries.

During the cocktail, parents and current and future students all had the opportunity to exchange experiences. The event was such a success that IE University will be hosting this event next year as well as offering another additional events for parents.
