A WORLD OF OPPORTUNITY
You might go on to become a lawyer in a top law firm thanks to your background in politics and economics. Alternatively, a career as a political analyst may interest you—you will have the knowledge to forecast political trends and analyze the effect that policies have on socioeconomic systems. Some students pursue a career in policy making, others in economic consultancy. Whichever path you choose, the multidisciplinary skills you learn in the PPLE program will serve you well.

Your background in politics and economics will prepare you to explore how these areas impact legal systems. As a practitioner of law, you will be able to use your knowledge of economic and political theory to provide legal advice and council to large corporations, governmental institutions or individuals.
A career in political science relies on a thorough understanding of how policy making impacts socioeconomic systems. As a political analyst, governments, corporations and international organizations will ask you to forecast political trends and comment on recent decisions to anticipate the effect these will have on legal, economic and social structures.
Economic consultants have a number of important responsibilities. Your career path will largely involve designing economic policy for organizations in the public and private sector, as well as researching and analyzing economic data to forecast market trends. You may also work for corporations, governments or NGOs to assess and observe economic performance.
GLOBAL POLICY MAKER
The political, philosophical, legal, and economic savvy you will acquire in this program will prepare you to become a sharp global policymaker. In this role, you'll put your multidisciplinary skills into practice, designing smart and sustainable policies for organizations, governments, and NGOs at a global level.
WHERE OUR STUDENTS WORK
“While interning at Amazon Web Services as a Commercial Sales Intern this summer, I experienced first-hand the fascinating intersection of technology and economics. Working there has been the best education, and from day one I felt totally immersed in Amazon’s culture with many responsibilities and opportunities to step outside of my comfort zone. Better yet, I was able to put into practice the knowledge I acquired at IE University to see just how I can use my education in the real world.”Find out more
“In today’s world, one can no longer afford to analyze issues from just one perspective. The Bachelor in Philosophy, Politics, Laws and Economics has armed me with the abilities and skills that I could employ from day one in my role as a Research Analyst. By constantly being challenged in the classroom you soon realize that you have one comfort zone—its absence.”Find out more
RICARDO ANGEL BARRIENTOS - BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT INTERN AT CHOCO
“Choco is a high-growth FoodTech startup that is excelling despite really adverse market conditions. Working for the expansion team and launching in a new city was a challenging and exhilarating experience. Like IE University, Choco is a place full of driven, diverse and intelligent people. I see my work at Choco as a real-world extension of my learning at IE University, both serving as a place for entrepreneurs and game-changers.”
“My summer internship in the Private Bank Department at Deutsche Bank was an extremely enriching experience. Despite the profound changes in the financial sector due to the current context, I managed to witness the intricacies of portfolio management firsthand, and to explore the way political and economic events affect investment decisions. My degree in Philosophy, Politics, Law and Economics was very helpful in that sense, as it served as an excellent base to build more concrete knowledge and skills.”Find out more
