Body Narratives on Architecture and the Senses: Mostenses Market

This project sought to design an intervention at the Mercado de los Mostenses in Madrid, while at the same time studying proprioception in humans. It analyzed how architecture can affect a person’s sense of space in various ways.

It suggests the concept of super humans; people with capabilities outside what is considered “normal.” For some people, everyday activities such as walking, shopping or using public transport can be challenging. This inspired SENUD, an area where so-called normality is disrupted through the manipulation of space to create different sensations, while at the same time facilitating users to buy at the market.
