Clubs at IE

Antonella is an IE BBA-Law student at the Segovia campus, and an IE Student Ambassador in Segovia for the 2017-18 academic year. Though she is only 19 years old, she has already traveled to 26 countries, speaks five languages (Spanish, English, Italian, Portuguese and French) and has two nationalities: American & Italian.

Attending IE means making one of her childhood dreams come true: becoming an attorney. “Since I was little, I have always been curious. I wanted to know the limits of what we can do as citizens, and that is the law. I have always believed that the world could be much more fair, and that’s why I want to be an attorney. I want to contribute to a world that is more just than the one I live in now.”

Antonella has always been involved in philanthropic activities. In England, she did community service helping homeless people with limited resources. In Quito, she worked as a volunteer for Fundadeporte, an NGO that helps children living in poverty. She is also passionate about helping people with disabilities. Here in Spain, she’s volunteered for the Special Olympics and, in Ecuador, she helped plan Saturday athletic activities for people with disabilities.

This young, international entrepreneur considers Segovia a unique city. “I love exploring all of the hidden places. The houses in the historic quarter fascinate me, and I also like the local gastronomy. Some of my favorite dishes are setas a la segoviana (Segovian-style mushrooms) and ponche (a layer cake with custard and marzipan).
