Aurea, winner of IE University's Venture Day Madrid 2023

Aurea, a startup that aims to improve health and well-being by creating a personalized micronutrient experience, has won Venture Day Madrid 2023, IE University’s annual competition for the best startups developed by the institution's entrepreneurial students and graduates. A jury made up of experts in entrepreneurship and international investors assessed the finalists and awarded the prizes at the event held at IE Tower, IE University's headquarters in Madrid. IE Business School is a world leader in entrepreneurship, as recognized regularly  in international rankings such as Bloomberg Businessweek, which recognizes the institution in 2nd position in Europe, and Poets & Quants, in which it occupies 7th position worldwide. 

Another highlight of Venture Day 2023 was the Sustainability Award. This year’s winner was MODO, a company that creates high-end AI-designed prefab homes. “At IE University, we are contributing to the fight against climate change by educating and inspiring the next leaders in climate action. Through events like Venture Day Madrid and recognitions like the Sustainability Award, we are fostering a broader perspective on the climate crisis and supporting global efforts to increase the rate of climate action”, said Isabela del Alcázar, Global Head of Sustainability at IE University.

IE University’s Venture Days reinforce the institution's entrepreneurial and innovative outlook through initiatives to connect startups and investors around the world to promote business creation. Each year, Venture Day culminates the work of IE University's Venture Lab.
