mAIbook, winner of IE Venture Day Madrid 2023

The winner of this year’s IE Venture Day Madrid is mAIbook, an artificial intelligence tool that allows users to create unique books for their children based on their passions, their individual needs and that puts them at the center of the story. The second prize went to Plato Health, a mobile platform for Bangladesh that connects patients with high-quality doctors to improve the outcome of consultations.

IE Venture Day Madrid is an annual event that rewards the best entrepreneurial projects created by the IE University student and alumni community and is decided by a jury composed of international entrepreneurs and investors. This event fosters the entrepreneurship ecosystem and is a meeting point for startups, investors, companies, accelerators and thought leaders, as well as for the winners of the Venture Lab acceleration program. Expace, a digital platform that provides solutions to inefficiencies in the transportation of agricultural products in Southeast Asia, has been recognized with the Sustainable Award.

IE Venture Lab, IE University's startup incubator, supports the entrepreneurial spirit of IE students and graduates. This year, more than 150 teams have designed business plans. Of the total, 70 startups have reached the semifinals of Venture Day and 11 projects have competed in the final phase.

The event was attended by experts such as Mike Grandinetti, an entrepreneur specializing in technology, and a professor at Harvard University and Brown University, who shared his vision of the transformative power of artificial intelligence. Amir Kaplan, IE University alumnus and co-founder of iFeel, a startup created at IE Venture Lab that raised €20 million, explained the keys to his project, which has revolutionized the mental health industry.

IE Business School is the fourth-ranked business school in the world and the leader in Europe in entrepreneurial education, as highlighted by the Financial Times in the FT Online MBA Ranking 2022. "This achievement reflects the tremendous effort of IE University students and alumni, their entrepreneurial vocation, and also represents the academic excellence and commitment of the faculty to continue reinforcing the value of entrepreneurship and its impact on society," said Annick Janssens, Director of IE Venture Lab and IE Venture Network at IE Business School.
