IE Labs and Internships

IE Labs are IE University’s alternative to traditional internships. Aimed specifically for first and second year students seeking high level internship placements, the IE Labs provide a hands-on, internship-like experience on campus, working on projects for leading companies and institutions in a variety of sectors.

Additionally, students can also carry out internships, working in different sectors and gaining professional skills and an international profile that are highly valued by employers.

IEU Labs

Final Degree Project

The Final Degree Project is a major part of the fourth year’s curriculum. Students choose the topic and are guided by their advisor, drawing upon the knowledge the student has gained from specific academic areas and internships or IE Labs projects which the student carried out during their degree program.

IE Module

The IE Module forms a part of every IE bachelor program, where you will be integrated with students from other fields of study.

Learn the fundamental aspects of business operations and management and how to create your own business plan.

Consider reality from different perspectives in order to develop your own
point of view.

Understand ethical dilemmas and moral traditions of other cultures and consider
your professional impact in society.

IE Start-Up Lab

The IE Start-Up Lab is an incubator where students can develop their business plans and make them investment ready, with the guidance of professors and entrepreneurs.

Students are given further resources with the support of IE Business School’s Venture Lab, where they can pitch their idea to potential investors at IE Venture Days and turn their ideas into reality

Personalized Support

Students receive academic guidance from tutors and advisors who provide direction and help them to integrate the different elements of their degree in order to build a personalized academic program that matches their professional aspirations.

IEU Communication Lab

The Communication Lab works with the widest range of companies, institutions and new start-ups. The MediaLab facilities are at the disposal of students in this Lab who create content such as blogs, videos, and other media content according to their clients’ needs.

Besides working with real companies, the Comms Lab also support and advise other IEU Labs by creating and producing strategies and visual content to empower their ideas

Students who have successfully completed the program in Communication and Digital Media have a preferential opportunity to study an additional year in one of IE’s specialized Masters programs.

In an increasingly challenging and fast-paced world, the demand for professionals who can think and work across boundaries is continuously increasing.

For our Communication students, adding a fifth year to your training offers the possibility of earning a specialized Master’s degree in a chosen area of interest.

BIC + Master in International Relations

The Bachelor in Communication and the Master in International Relations will provide you with the perfect combination to effectively transmit your influential voice on a global scale. You will be provided with a solid grounding in the practice of communication during your undergraduate studies, which you will be able to put to significant use when addressing complexities within the public-private sphere during your Master.
