IEU Labs are IE University’s alternative to traditional internships. Designed for first- and second-year students seeking high-level internship placements, the IE Labs provide a hands-on, internship-like, on-campus experience, where you work on projects for leading companies and institutions in a variety of sectors.


Holding them as one of its values, IE University understands the Humanities are key to understanding the reality of our world, and applying critical thinking skills to complex, global challenges. Students can select which Humanities course to complete, based on their interests.


Advanced Seminars complement the core degree by giving students deeper knowledge of subjects in a very diverse area of studies.


Additionally, students can take part in several internships, gaining professional skills and enhancing that highly valued international profile.


Aside from mastering Spanish, our students can decide to study other relevant languages of today’s globalized world, including French, Portuguese, German, Arabic, or Chinese.

The BBA Business case provided a unique opportunity for young professionals to engage with real-world experiences and network with students from other universities, cultures, and countries. This year, the competition centered around a real business case provided by Radisson Hotels Group, focusing on international expansion and the various challenges the hotel industry faces today.

This opportunity allows Bachelor in Business Administration students to step into the role of real consultants for prestigious companies. For example, in the 2022 challenge, students collaborated with Room Mate Group, a global boutique hotel chain. This challenge goes beyond theory, providing students with real-world problem-solving experiences and valuable insights into the dynamic field of marketing.

IE Venture Day

Dive into the heart of innovation at IE Venture Day Madrid, where IE University's Venture Lab unveils top startups from students and alumni. This dynamic event connects entrepreneurs, investors, thought leaders, corporations and accelerators, fostering strategic partnerships. During Venture Day, 12 finalists, including business students, present five-minute pitches to investors, followed by the announcement of winners by an esteemed jury. The 2022 edition also featured keynote speakers, panel discussions and a startup competition.
