IE Business School ranked 8th in the world by Financial Times for Executive MBA programs
IE Business School is the No. 8 school worldwide and No. 1 school in Spain for Executive MBA programs in the ranking published today by the Financial Times.
This result further consolidates IE Business School’s position as a world leader in the management education sector, coming shortly after the School achieved the No. 1 position worldwide in the Financial Times ranking of Online MBAs (March 2015), and the No. 5 position in the Forbes ranking of MBAs in the category of Non-US One-year Programs (September 2015).
For this latest ranking the Financial Times evaluated IE Business School’s Global Executive MBA, an English-taught program designed to meet the needs of top executives with a markedly international profile. The program combines onsite modules held in Madrid, Singapore, Los Angeles and Sao Paulo, with online periods. The blended format permits the program participants, currently from 22 countries and with an average of 15 years of managerial experience, to combine their learning experience with their managerial responsibilities. The program is focused on international management and is delivered with the collaboration of academic partners that include Insper (Brazil), UCLA (US) and Singapore Management University (Singapore). Sessions are led by top-tier international faculty, and include a continuous innovation component based on market demands.
“We are proud that Financial Times considers our Global Executive MBA to be No. 8 in the world and No. 1 in Spain,” said Ignacio Gafo, Vice Dean for Global andExecutive MBA programs at IE Business School. “This achievement is the result of many years of work to design an Executive MBA for top executives centered on how to do business on a global scale. Our Global Executive MBA has an international focus, with participants from over 20countries, and we place particular emphasis on innovation, both in terms of continuously updated content and in terms of methodology, which integrates the best of onsite and online practices. Moreover, students study in Madrid, Singapore, Los Angeles and Sao Paulo, where they gain a deep understanding of corporate realities and the way people do business in different corners of the world. Our faculty comprises leading academics and practitioners from the field of business management who have helped consolidate the program as one of the top ten Executive MBAs in the world.”
In this edition of its Executive MBA ranking, the Financial Times evaluated quality indicators that include the level of satisfaction among participants, career progression, increase in salary in the years following their graduation, the level of diversity among faculty and the student body, the international focus of the program, the extent to which students’ expectations are met, and levels of research at the school.
IE Business School has an extensive portfolio of English-taught and Spanish-taught Executive MBA programs delivered in onsite and blended formats. They include the School’s Global Executive MBA, and the IE Brown Executive MBA run in collaboration with Ivy League member Brown University in the US, renowned for excellence in humanistic, social and scientific disciplines.
